DISCOVERING JIMMY BUFFETT:

A Conversation With Product Sound Studio

Join us for a very special conversation with Milton Brown and John Edd Thomson of Product Sound Studio where a young Jimmy Buffett made his very first record. The year is 1969 and a twenty three year old Jimmy Buffett, spending his days working at the Mobile Shipyard and nights playing at the Admiral Semmes Hotel, walks into Product Sound Studio to cut a record and hopefully find a career in the music industry. Recording tracks like “Abandoned On Tuesday” and “Don’t Bring Me Candy”, little did they know that Jimmy would become a worldwide mega music icon. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to connect with Jimmy Buffett’s beginnings at The Admiral, the very hotel where he played in those early days, as Milton and John Edd share never-before-heard stories of those first recording sessions, meeting and working with Jimmy, the beginning of his career, their friendship with him through the years, and more!

“Though I didn’t know it at the time, Milton provided the launchpad from which my rocket blasted off where know Mobilian had ever gone before. So as they say in nautical terms, Product Sound Studio was the port from which I embarked on this musical journey. So to that great first crew that helped me cast off the lines from the port of Mobile back in 1969. To Travis, to Milton, to Nick, John Edd, and Ricky… thank you for sending me on this lovely cruise” – Jimmy Buffett, Buried Treasure
